S/Y Nordwind was built from 1972 to 1973 at Bieritz Shipyards for Bremen-based entrepreneur Claus Schröder, according to the designs of reputable Danish boatbuilder Aage Utzon. She is a one-off build with several individual features and excellent seagoing abilities, which she has not only proved during many long distance trips but also several ambitious offshore races. After having accommodated numerous passengers over the years but not having been afloat for over a decade, she was taken over by me in 2008, fully refitted and - after countless days and nights of hard work - finally re-launched in September 2012.
